SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technologies for the disinfection of peat for its further use as a greenhouse substrate for growing planting material obtained by the in vitro method. The method consists in the fact that peat with a moisture content of at least 18% is placed in a microwave unit with magnetrons, the frequency of which is 2.45 GHz. Processing is carried out for 8-10 minutes at a power of 800 W, until the peat is heated to 100-120°C.

EFFECT: improved quality of peat disinfection.
