FIELD: glass manufacturing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to manufacturing clear quartz glass used in optics, electronics, sun power engineering, and pure and super-pure chemicals production industry. Plant comprises working chamber 1 and system of heaters 4. Working chamber accommodates vertically arranged crucible 2 made in the form of truncated cone. Heaters 4 are designed as rods made of tungsten and are disposed inside working chamber 1. Inside crucible 2, there are vertical pipes installed to remove gas products and gas-liquid inclusions, which pipes are joined by common manifold 14 with its outlet disposed in scrubber 6 filled with salt solution. In upper portion of working chamber, there is loading hopper 17 installed and lower portion of crucible is connected to receiving hopper 16 for final product.

EFFECT: enabled manufacture of high-purity product and increased stability and reliability of long-cycle process.
