SUBSTANCE: cast iron contains, wt%: carbon 3.5-4.0; silicon 1.5-2.0; manganese 0.5-1.0; rare-earth metals 0.15-0.25; aluminum 0.1-0.3; vanadium 0.4-0.8; chromium 1.0-1.8; iron the balance.
EFFECT: increased thermal stability of cast iron.
