SUBSTANCE: catalyst converter comprises honeycomb member including a number of at least partly profiled or structured layers, which define through channels for fluid circulation, case at least partly enclosing the honeycomb member and at least one corrugated bush arranged between honeycomb member and case. The corrugated bush connects honeycomb member to case. Method for catalyst converter production involves manufacturing honeycomb member having necessary dimensions at least partly defined by free ends of honeycomb member layers; forming at least one corrugated bush with profiled outline; producing case with inner outline; inserting honeycomb member in at least one corrugated bush; installing at least one corrugated bush with honeycomb member in the case; sizing the case to reduce inner case outline dimensions and, preferably, dimensions of at least one corrugated bush profile so that layer ends are snapped in profiled structure of corrugated bush and closely snug against corrugated bush.
EFFECT: improved honeycomb member layer connection with corrugated bush.
