FIELD: mechanical engineering; pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for use in centrifugal pumps to relieve rotors from axial forces. Proposed hydraulic relief device contains housing with space communicating with pump input and with fitted-in end face seal, and relief disk. Two relief rings made of wear-resistant material are installed, one of which being fitted on support peripheral part of relief disk, and the other, on pressure cover of pump limiting space of relief device. Throttling cylindrical slot is formed between relief bushing press-fitted into pressure cover and spacer bushing fitted on shaft and provided with key joint on shaft for transmission of torque. Relief disk is installed over sealing ring of spacer bushing and is fixed on bushing circumferentially over spline joint with spline with clearance fitting over side surface, and it is fixed in axial direction by nut through pair of washers fitted to one another over spherical surface with center on axis of shaft. Nut is turned onto shaft thread to thrust against spacer bushing and it clamps together spacer bushing and pump impellers.
EFFECT: increased reliability and service life of centrifugal pump owing to effective compensation of axial force appearing at operation of pump thanks to improved design of relief device.
