FIELD: rocketry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nozzles with large degree of extension with telescopically foldable bell. Proposed expandable nozzle of rocket engine has stationary part, one or several telescopic heads installed on cylinders with possibility of disconnection of cylinder from heads when the latter are fixed in working position and rigidly connected to each other by base from side of head exit section and with ventral guide passing through critical section of nozzle. According to invention, central guide passes through nozzle cover engaging with the latter through outer surface and with stop from side of nozzle ext section. Cover is arranged in cup secured inside stationary part for movement towards nozzle exit section. Cup from side of nozzle exit section is provided with stops and locks engaging with cover in its final position.
EFFECT: provision of rational distribution of expansion energy between heads, reduced length of central guide.
