FIELD: medicine, thoracic surgery.

SUBSTANCE: tracheal ends under suturing should be brought together and fixed with a tracheal constrictor. The latter is supplied with mobile grips with hooks curved towards the opposite branch at working part of the branches which should be applied under cartilaginous half circles without puncturing tracheal mucosa. Then it is necessary to fulfill a blanket uninterrupted suture starting from contralateral tracheal side at the bottom of cartilaginous half circles at the distance of about 3-4 mm against the edge, after that in several stitches it is necessary to come to membranous part at the margin of about 2-3 mm against the edge; ligature should be tightened by the ends to bring tissues together up to tight juncture. On finishing the stage described it is necessary to fulfill the suture onto tracheal cartilaginous part, ligature's ends should be bound, and the hooks of tracheal constrictor should be withdrawn out of tracheal wall. Application of the present innovation enables to provide hermetic nature, remove factors that affect the further cicatricial narrowing of tracheotracheal anastomosis due to the work of the new device.
