FIELD: forest industry, applicable in production of sawn timber.
SUBSTANCE: the method consists in fixing of the timber for the strong peripheral zone, determination of the shape and parameters of the pith layer, division of the timbers into parts in the longitudinal direction. Fixing of the timbers is accomplished in the points lying in the plane passing through the central axis of the timber, on the opposite ends of the timber by the different sides of the affected zone. Division is carried out on the strong zone of the timber, after that an effort is applied in the points of fixing obtaining portions with an incorrect shape of the affected zone, the obtained portions are based on one of the treatment surfaces and divided into blanks in parallel with the timber generating line, the blanks are turned one relative to the other by 180 deg. In the vertical and horizontal planes, the treatment surfaces are aligned and fastened together.
