FIELD: forest industry, applicable in production of sawn timber.

SUBSTANCE: the method includes fixing of timbers by the healthy peripheral zone, determination of the shape and parameters of the pithy layer, division of timbers into sectors in the longitudinal direction, division of them in the longitudinal direction in a line tangent to the yearly layers into blanks, conjugation of the end surfaces of the preparation of the central blanks and fastening of them to one another, turning of the side blanks one relative to the other through 180 deg. In the vertical and horizontal planes, conjugation of the side surfaces of the preparation and fastening of them to one another, basing of the side pieces over the surface of preparation and division into blanks perpendicularly to the surface of preparation. The peripheral surfaces of the blanks are treated with obtaining of the same shape and the same taper in length, the central blanks are turned one relative to the other through 180 deg. In the vertical and horizontal planes, and the side blanks are turned through 180 deg. In the vertical plane. The surfaces of the preparation are conjugated and fastened to each other. After drying of the blanks they are bonded together in the edge. To enhance the strength of joining in the blanks, the elements of carpenter's joint are performed, and to obtain sawn timber of different sizes in thickness and quality, the blanks are graded according to the geometrical parameters and qualitative characteristics.

EFFECT: rationalized pattern cutting of round timbers affected by pitchy rot, enhanced yield of sawn timber.
