FIELD: special electrometallurgy of refractory metals, namely equipment for producing ingots at electromagnetic action upon melt and at crystallizing in condition of electron-beam heating.

SUBSTANCE: crystallizer includes water cooled sectionized sleeve and embracing sectioning zone system for electromagnetic agitation with short-circuited turn. Slits for sectioning wall of said sleeve are formed in its upper part; lower part of sleeve is in the form of solid ring serving as short-circuited turn. Water-cooled ring whose outer diameter is no less than outer diameter of magnetic circuit of electromagnetic agitation system is mounted on upper end of sleeve coaxially relative to it.

EFFECT: enhanced electron-beam refining due to effective agitation of melt in surface layers of bath in crystallizer due to stabilized heating by means of electron beam.
