FIELD: production of magnesium by electrolysis in production line. SUBSTANCE: production line has new sequence of aggregates, aggregate to melt crystalline hydrates, carnallite and/or magnesium chloride 7, 10, aggregate 17 for chlorination of enriched melt, aggregate 1 for refining of melt by direct current and for precipitation of solid suspensions, refining and flow electrolyzers 3 integrated in groups, aggregate 4 for separation of magnesium from electrolyte and pumps 5 for transfer and metering of electrolyte. All elements of production line are integrated by system of melt lines to transport electrolyte ensuring successive passage of electrolyte through all electrolyzers and aggregates of production line. Description of invention presents five versions of structural design of production line. EFFECT: simplified hardware-technological circuit for production of magnesium and chlorine, improved preparation of starting materials to electrolysis, decreased labor input. 21 cl, 4 dwg
