FIELD: medicine, ophthalmosurgery.
SUBSTANCE: the method of conserving donor tissues for ophthalmosurgery deals with affecting with decreased temperature and altered pressure - one should apply decreased 0.5 Atm pressure and temperature of +2...+4°C. The following terms for conserving different tissues are: up to 3 d - for tissues of corneal membrane, up to 10 d - for tissues of dura mater, up to 30 d - for aortic tissues. The method is simple and economical, provides prolonged maintenance of tissue viability under conditions of ophthalmological clinics and requires no complicated and expensive equipment.
