FIELD: ophthalmology.

SUBSTANCE: intended for the preparation of donor material for keratoplasty. Corneal collagen is crosslinked from the endothelial and epithelial sides of the graft. A corneoscleral flap is cut out, placed in an artificial anterior chamber, the epithelial layer of the cornea is removed, and a 0.1% riboflavin solution is drip-fed every 2 minutes for 30 minutes alternately on the endothelial and epithelial surface of the cornea. Then ultraviolet irradiation is carried out at a power density of 6 mW/cm2 with a wavelength of 370 nm for 30 minutes on each side, starting with the epithelial side, while during irradiation a solution of 0.1% riboflavin is drip-fed every 5 minutes.

EFFECT: method allows to increase the viability of the donor graft, increase the duration of its transparency by improving the biochemical, biomechanical, strength characteristics and weakening the antigenic properties of the donor graft using bilateral cross-linking of the donor flap in certain modes.
