FIELD: medicine, cardiology.

SUBSTANCE: one should carry out prevocational pharmacological test with salbutamol. Moreover, before food intake in a patient's back lying position with the help of an ultrasound linear sensor of about 8-10 MHz scanning frequency located at posterior-lateral surface of m.stemocleidomastoideum it is necessary to measure the internal diameter of right common carotid artery (CCA) at the end of the diastole at the distance of 2cm proximally against CCA bifurcation; then comes inhalation with salbutamol at the dosage of 4 mg and 20 min later it is important to measure internal diameter of right CCA. In case of altered diameter of right CCA being equal to 0.5-8% one should diagnose the signs of ICD, moreover ▵d should be determined by the following formula: where ▵d (%) - the alteration of internal diameter of right CCA, d0 (cm) - the initial diameter of right CCA, d1 (cm) - the internal diameter of CCA 20 min after inhalation of CCA with salbutamol. The innovation enables to diagnose atherosclerotic lesions of arterial system at earlier stage and increase the safety of noninvasive diagnostics of ischemic cardiac disease.
