SUBSTANCE: invention represents a diagnostic technique for a disposition to atherosclerosis progression in patients with chronic ischemic heart disease involving sample analysis to measure an interleukin-10-producing T-lymphocyte count, characterised by recovering a mononuclear cell fraction from the peripheral blood, activating the cells in a culture, conducting lymphocyte phenotyping with the use of fluorescent anti-CD4 and interleukin-10 (IL-10) antibodies, and performing flow cytometry; the IL-10-producing T-lymphocyte (CD4+IL-10+ cell) count expressed as a percentage (%) of CD4+ lymphocytes of less than 3.5% is indicative of the high risk of atherosclerosis progression.
EFFECT: higher effectiveness of a method for detecting the patients prone to atherosclerosis progression.
