FIELD: powder metallurgy, namely production of porous materials on base of titanium nickelide, possibly in medicine in order to make biological materials for osseous implants, in metallurgy for making filters, catalyst carriers.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of preparing exothermic mixture of powders of nickel, titanium and at least one additive selected from titanium hydride, ammonium chloride, ammonium bromide, ammonium fluoride, ammonium iodide and hydroxyapatite ( hydride and ammonium halides, no more than 4 mass%; hydroxyapatite, no more than 25 mass%). Ammonium halides are added to initial mixture in the form of aqueous saturated solution. Then mixture is subjected to drying before pressing it. Pressed blank is arranged in reactor, evacuated, heated and then burning process is initiated in inert atmosphere for further production of target product. Prepared material features increased open porosity at small dispersion of total porosity.
EFFECT: increased open porosity of material having high compression strength.
