FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for synthesis of 1-phenyl-2,5-dialkyl-3,4-fullero[60]phospholanes of the general formula (I): . Method involves interaction of fullerene-60 with dialkylohenylphosphine of the general formula: (RCH2)2-PPh wherein R means ethyl (Et), Methyl (Me), propyl (Pr) in the mole ratio fullerene-60 : dialkylphenylphosphine = 0.01:(0.01-0.011), in the presence of titanocene dichloride (Cp2TiCl2) as a catalyst taken in the amount 15-25 mole% with respect to fullerene-60, in toluene medium as a solvent, at temperature 140-160oC for 4-8 h. The yield of the end product is 64-86%. Synthesized compound can be used as chelating agents, sorbents, biologically active substances and in creature of novel materials with desired electronic, magnetic and optical properties.
