FIELD: construction, particularly vertical cylindrical steel reservoir reconstruction.
SUBSTANCE: method involves cutting reservoir in longitudinal direction into two semi-cylindrical parts; rotating the first part with respect to another one through 90° angle; mounting bottom section and two semi-cylindrical walls in space defined by semi-cylindrical reservoir parts, wherein the semi-cylindrical walls are identical to existent ones; installing posts carried by independent foundations in reservoir components connection areas; mounting complementary roof members.
EFFECT: possibility to decrease horizontal pulling force inside reservoir during reservoir movement and increased volume necessary to install new wall sections by rolling method.
