FIELD: construction, particularly to reconstruct vertical cylindrical tanks for tank volume increase.
SUBSTANCE: method involves separating upper tank wall part from lower one under upper edge of the first extension section for joint width by horizontal cut operation; mounting extension section; welding joints and lifting upper wall part with roof and with the first section for fixed position with the use of compressed air; mounting, jointing and lifting next sections to provide necessary tank volume. Each section includes a number of belts.
EFFECT: elimination of wall welding with bottom.
