FIELD: seismology.

SUBSTANCE: device can be used in data viewing and processing systems of geophysical measurements for forecasting Earthquakes. Measuring device has measuring channel formed of optical radiation generator connected in series with sensitive element, photodetector, peak detector, threshold device. Threshold device is connected with device for processing resulting signal and synchronizing of operation of meter's members. Optical radiation generator is connected with divider composed of radioactive background connected in parallel with variable resistance. Sensitive element is made in form of electro-optic modulator onto section of holed fiber. Duration of photopulses of optical modulator should be proportional to concentration of light gases in atmosphere.

EFFECT: improved fidelity of prediction.
