FIELD: inorganic materials production.
SUBSTANCE: basic aluminum chloride suitable for use in water treating systems, waste water treatment, medical preparations, and perfumery-cosmetic articles is obtained in a process involving interaction of aluminum trichloride aqueous solution with iron at 95-105°C. Iron is taken in the form of industrial ingots having apparent density (7.0-7.6)·10-4 kg/m3. Resulting is evaporated and then dried in film mode.
EFFECT: intensified process.
