FIELD: rail treatment equipment.

SUBSTANCE: automatic rail-grinding device comprises drive with abrasive disc to be pressed to rail; drive current sensor linked to switchboard through current-pressure transducer. The switchboard is connected to electric input of servovalve, which supplied compressed air to pneumatic cylinder for abrasive disc pressing to rail. Device also has metal volume correction means, which corrects amount of metal to be removed during grinding operation and provided with rail head surface parameter measuring system. Device comprises tool wear measuring means, which measures tool wear during grinding operation and comprises angular movement transducer linked to computer connected to pressing pneumatic cylinder through parallelogram suspension. The second computed input is linked to switchboard.
