FIELD: railway transport; maintenance of permanent way. SUBSTANCE: in proposed rail-grinding machine abrasive wheel is pressed to rail by pneumatic cylinder with force being stabilized by control circuit in response to signals from motor current sensor. Machine is furnished with additional feedback signal correcting circuit. Correcting signal is formed in calculator of amount of metal to be removed by grinding by results of direct measurements of rail roll surface parameters found by measurement system. EFFECT: optimization of pressing force of abrasive wheel to rail depending on amount of metal to be removed by grinding. 1 dwg
