FIELD: the invention refers to optics.
SUBSTANCE: the invention envisages illumination of the surface of an object with spectrally controlled light, collection of data about color shades for creation at least of one chart of the exterior state of the object. The illumination of the object is executed with one point source of light and the image of the object is processed with at least two video- or photo cameras equipped with devices controlling the angle vision of the chambers. At that for division of optic channels a beam slitter is located before the chambers.
EFFECT: provides unique definition of the color of the object independently from conditions and quality of illumination.
