FIELD: tachometers, nondestructive test units, displacement transducers for measuring direct- and alternating-current magnetic fields and electric current.
SUBSTANCE: proposed transducer has substrate covered with dielectric layer that carries four rows of linearly disposed and series-connected thin-film magnetoresistive strips interconnected into bridge circuit by means of nonmagnetic low-resistance jumpers, as well as with top and bottom protective layers. It also has first insulating layer covering thin-film magnetoresistive strips whereon control conductor is formed with its working parts disposed above thin-film magnetoresistive strips along each of their rows perpendicular to light magnetization axis; second insulating layer, planar coil whose working parts are disposed along light-magnetization axis, and protective layer. Thin-film magnetoresistive strips of two adjacent rows are positioned at angle of 45 deg. to light magnetization axis and those of two other adjacent rows are positioned at angle of -45 deg. to light magnetization axis. Opposite arms of bridge circuit are two external and two internal rows of magnetoresistive strips.
EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities due to symmetrical angular volt-oersted characteristic of transducer.
