FIELD: medical equipment used in traumatology and orthopedics for treatment and rehabilitation of neck ligamentous and muscular apparatus.
SUBSTANCE: device has base, pole vertically mounted on base and provided with weight made in the form of set of plates having increasing weight, and armchair for patient. Seat of armchair is mounted on bar positioned for free longitudinal axial movement thereon. Armchair is equipped with members for fixing patient to armchair back. Weight is connected through pulley system by means of cable to helmet to be put onto patient's head. Each of weight plates has weight of from 0.25 kg to 5.0 kg and is positioned on vertical pole equipped at its lower part with vertical row of dents. Device is additionally provided with stop adapted for restricting forced action of weight and formed as spring-loaded piston with pin located at its one end and capable of engagement with bar dents for blocking movement of weight, while other end of piston is connected by means of cable to stop controlling handle designed for varying cable tension extent. Armchair back consists of three frames, two of said frames being engaged with one another with their inner surfaces and positioned on seat. Outer frame is rigidly fixed and inner frame is positioned by means of jack for longitudinal axial movement. Third frame is positioned on cross-piece of movable frame so that inclination angle of third frame relative to lower frame may be varied. Free end of cable-and-pulley system to be connected with helmet is passing over L-shaped bar positioned above patient's armchair on bracket for rotation around attachment point and fixing in predetermined position.
EFFECT: rigid fixing of patient, precise dosed, up to hundreds grams, loading of neck ligamentous and muscular apparatus, instantaneous blocking by patient the action of weight upon ligamentous and muscular system in case of occurrence of unforeseen situations.
