FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves introducing tripanic blue solution and midriatic in turn into anterior chamber after having formed the limbal tunnel incision and paracentesis. Dispersed and cohesive viscoelastic agents are also introduced for stabilizing and controlling the anterior chamber in carrying out capsulorhexis. Circular anterior capsulorhexis of 5-5.5 mm large diameter is formed and fixed with iris retractors. Lens nucleus is split into three parts forming a Y letter pattern and ultrasound is applied in pulsating flash mode. Wedge-like lens fragment is removed at 6 o'clock position emptying space for safely rotating the remaining fragments without loading ligament apparatus. The ultrasonic stage being over, intracapsular ring is implanted followed by finishing washing crystalline masses and polishing the capsule. Intraocular lens is implanted by applying injector method via the limbal tunnel. Viscoelastic is washed out from the capsule sack and anterior chamber by means of bimanual suction-irrigation system together with pseudoexfoliative deposits being washed out from anterior chamber angle.
EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness and safety of cataract extraction; no risk in loading and injuring Zinn's ligament.
