FIELD: railway transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to provision of safety of railway traffic. Proposed railway track condition remote control system has video camera installed on post near railway track in zone of hazard and connected to wireless video signal transmitter, and video signal receiver installed on locomotive, satellite navigation system and monitor connected to electronic monitoring and control unit. Zone of transmission of video signal from video camera is not less than three braking distances of freight train, and electronic control unit is made for analyzing image of zone of hazard, and an object is detected between rails, or railway track is damaged, bringing out image to monitor and transmitting image to memory of electronic unit with indication of coordinates of track damage or foreign object and generating automatic train braking signal. Infra-red imager can be installed together with video camera.
EFFECT: improved safety of traffic.
