FIELD: railway transport; signaling and communication.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to interval traffic control. According to proposed method, ac voltage is supplied to rail line at its one end and change of voltage at other end is checked depending on coordinate of train shunt. When train enters adjacent rail line, reference voltage is recorded basing on which threshold values are determined and current value of voltage of receiving end is compared with threshold value. If current value is lower than occupied threshold voltage, rail line is considered occupied, and if current voltage exceeds clear threshold voltage, rail line is considered clear. At long occupation of rail line of first track or adjacent rail lines exceeding 15 min, taken as reference voltage is current value of voltage of rail line of second track of section when said line and both adjacent lines are clear, and if any of said rail lines of second track is occupied, current voltage of intertrack rail line is taken as reference voltage. Threshold voltage are determined with due account of correction for the fact that insulation resistance between rails is less than insulation resistance between tracks.
EFFECT: improved reliability of checking state of rail line.
