FIELD: railway signaling and communication; internal traffic control.
SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method, ac signal is applied to rail line at one, and at other end current values of signals are compared with occupied and clear threshold values. Track generator and receiver are connected in turn to each line of track section, and current of supply end and voltage of receiving end of each rail line are recorded in memory. Taken as occupied threshold value is current of supply source at application of standard shunt to said end and at dry ballast, and taken as clear threshold value is voltage of receiving end recorded at the same moment multiplied by safety factor. If current of supply source exceeds occupation threshold value, track section is considered occupied, and if voltage at receiving end exceeds track section threshold voltage, track section is considered clear.
EFFECT: improved reliability of checking state of track sections.
