FIELD: production of hexahydrate of cobalt (II)-ammonium sulfate used for coloring of glass and ceramics, preparation of cobalt plating electrolytes, cobalt micro-fertilizers, micro-element additives for polyvitamine preparations and animal fodder; production of various cobalt compounds.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method of production of hexahydrate of cobalt (II)-ammonium sulfate includes preparation of reaction aqueous solution containing cobalt (II), ammonium, sulfate, crystallization of target product from solution and separation of crystals from solution. For preparation of reaction aqueous solution, use is made of waste solution of cobalt electroplating process and/or waste solution of chemical cobalt plating process which is used as source of cobalt (II).
EFFECT: increased yield of product at retained purity; possibility of utilization of liquid cobalt-containing waste of cobalt plating process.
