FIELD: production of potato starch.

SUBSTANCE: method involves crushing potato into potato pulp using rasps; feeding pulp into collector and filtering for separating coarse pomace particles; separating pulp in hydraulic cyclones into non-refined suspension and mixture of pomace and potato juice; diluting non-refined starch suspension with water and refining using arcuate sieve; discharging oversize product and filtered starch suspension; using arcuate sieve with capron cloth having 40-50 micron holes; providing filtering until content of starch suspension in oversize product is 8-10% by total weight thereof; mixing separated oversize product with potato pulp within collector; feeding filtered starch suspension into hydraulic cyclones for condensation; dehydrating condensed suspension to predetermined extent of moisture content in starch and drying.

EFFECT: stable content of starch in basic potato pulp regardless of basic potato starch content, increased efficiency in pulp separation and improved quality of resultant starch.
