FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of starch. Dry method of obtaining of native starch fractionated by size from raw material of various botanical origin involves milling raw materials into a mash, feeding the mash into a collector, filtration for separation of large particles of pulp, separation of grapes in hydrocyclones into unrefined suspension and mixture of pulp and juice, dilution of unrefined starch suspension with water, its refining on arc sieve with discharge of oversize product and filtered starch suspension, feeding it into hydrocyclones for condensation, dehydrating the condensed suspension until achieving a given degree of moisture of starch and drying it. Obtained dry native starch is separated into fractions differing by sizes of starch granules. Separation is carried out in several steps. First, sieve separation is performed to isolate granules with size of more than 100 mcm. Then, it is separated in centrifugal force field to separate granules in size range of 30–100 mcm and dry filtration is performed to extract granules in size range of 10–30 mcm.

EFFECT: invention enables to obtain fractionated starch in a highly efficient, cheap and environmentally friendly way.
