FIELD: automotive industry; automobile service stations.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technical diagnostics and it can be used for diagnosing condition of automobile electrical equipment at mass production. Proposed method comes to measuring instantaneous values of current in transient process at delivery of dc voltage to automobile electrical equipment and calculating time constant basing on results of measurements. By analyzing received value and comparing it with maximum tolerable values, one can evaluate condition of electrical equipment and reveal presence of troubles.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of diagnosing owing to use time constant of current at transient process by delivering dc voltage into electrical equipment circuit as said time constant depends only of parameters of electrical equipment under checking.
