FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in measuring instantaneous currents in transition period on feeding a train of square pulses to automotive equipment component. Results of measurements are used to define mathematical expectation of current variation rate. Analysing magnitude of mathematical expectation of current variation rate and comparing it with tolerable magnitude allows pinpointing defects in electrical equipment.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of testing.
