FIELD: chemical industry; other industries; production of the catalysts of the steam conversion of carbon monoxide.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the method of production of hydrogen by the steam conversion of carbon monoxide and to the catalysts used for this process and may be used in the different branches of industry. The invention presents description of the iron-chromium catalyst containing in the composition the phase of the hydroxocompound of iron and chromium with the frame structure of the goethite and-or hydro-hematite, the method of its preparation and usage in the process of the steam conversion of the carbon monoxide. The catalyst may additionally contain copper. The catalyst is produced by sedimentation by solutions of carbonates or hydroxides of ammonium, sodium or potassium from solutions of the mixture of nitrates of iron 2+ and 3+ and chromium 3+, produced by the oxidation-reduction interaction of the metallic iron, compounds of chromium 6+ and the nitric acid. The process of the steam conversion of the carbon monoxide with usage of this catalyst according to the offered method is conducted in the range above 250°С. The technical result of the invention is the low content of sulfur in catalyst (no more than 0.03 mass %) and chromium 6+ (no more than 0.05 mass %), the high activity in the field of the temperatures of 350°С and lower.
EFFECT: the invention ensures the low content of sulfur in catalyst and chromium 6+, the high activity in the field of the temperatures of 350°С and lower.
