FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, in particular, ladle treatment of cast-iron using powdered reactants.
SUBSTANCE: method involves introducing magnesium mixed with silicone-iron alloy, with ratio of magnesium in filler and content of filler proper in wire making 0.1-1.0, and wire components ratio making, wt%: powdered filler 41-65; steel enclosure 35-59.
EFFECT: increased efficiency in utilizing of magnesium, high desulphurization and modification extent, reduced consumption of wire, and improved ecology on ladle treatment of cast-iron.
