FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nondestructive testing of materials, and it can be used in automated inspection of rails in track and other long-length objects, particularly, in devices providing magnetic methods of nondestructive testing. Proposed pickup contains housing accommodating inductive measuring transducer, magnetoresistive and/or ferroprobe measuring transducers. Outputs of measuring transducers are connected with corresponding inputs of controllable switch. Output of switch is output of pickup. Control input of pickup is connected through threshold unit with control input of switch.
EFFECT: provision of systems for automated inspection of rails within wide range of inspection speeds.
