FIELD: non-destructive control of materials, possible use for continuous, selective and secondary ultrasound control of whole cross-section and foot of simultaneously two rail threads, placed in form of railway, under conditions of moderate climate, and also under conditions of low temperatures and high speeds.
SUBSTANCE: device for ultrasound flaw detection of railroad rails contains first and second acoustic blocks. Each acoustic block consists of combined electromagnetic-acoustic transformers, providing generation and input of polarized ultrasound shift oscillations along perpendicular to rail surface and at an angle of 36°-50°, 58°-75°, and also generation of low frequency ultrasound SH oscillations. Generator block consists of two blocks of generators of probing impulses with different carrying generators, while outputs of generators of probing impulses of generator block are connected to emitting coils of combined electromagnetic-acoustic transformers of first and second acoustic blocks, while their receiving coils are connected to channel inputs of, respectively, first and second multi-channel amplification blocks, outputs of which are connected to inputs of, respectively, first and second signal processing blocks. Each channel of signal processing block consists of sequentially connected threshold element detector and impulse generator, outputs of signals processing blocks are connected to inputs of recorder and multi-channel indication block, set-point generator is connected to input of synchronization block, outputs of which are connected to synchronization inputs of blocks of probing impulse generators of generator block and to inputs of first and second forbidding impulse generators, outputs of which are connected respectively to control inputs of first and second multi-channel amplification blocks.
EFFECT: creation of device to ensure monitoring of whole rail cross-section, under conditions of low temperatures and high speeds.
