FIELD: nondestructive testing.

SUBSTANCE: magnetic defectoscope comprises measuring pickup, magnetization unit, velocity pickup, unit for processing signals, recording unit, indicator, unit for generating control signals, and controlled commutator. The measuring pickup has inductive measuring converter, magnetically resistive and/or ferromagnetic probe of measuring converters. The converters are mounted inside the pickup and their outputs are connected with the inputs of the controlled commutator. The unit for processing signals is connected with the output of the controlled commutator. The recording unit and indicator are connected with the outputs of the unit for processing signals. The velocity pickup is connected with the input of the unit for generating control signals whose output is connected with the control input of the commutator.
