FIELD: carbon dioxide laser manufacture.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes assembly of laser discharge structure, installation of optical assemblies, evacuation of working space including thermal treatment at temperature not lower than 100 °C, its aging in gas mixture discharge, evacuation and filling with working gas mixture. Aging process is conducted under conditions maximum close to operating ones for minimum 100 h until relative rate of loss of CO2 molecules in laser working space becomes not over 0.2 volume percent per hour. In the course of aging discharge is stopped and gas filler changed during first ten hours.
EFFECT: enlarged service life of laser in sealed-off condition.
