FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: method for manufacturing an ionising emission meter relates to detectors for recording ionising emissions, in particular, to gas-discharge self-extinguishing Geiger-Muller counters used in recording, primarily, of beta and gamma emission. The method includes the operations of: attaching the body of the meter to a metal-glass comb connected with vacuum pumping and gas intake apparatuses, pumping the internal volume of the body of the meter, supplying a gas mixture for cleaning the surfaces. The composition of the mixture includes an inert gas and a chemically active gas. A voltage of 400≤U≤500V is supplied to the body and the anode, magnets are installed outside of the body into the apparatus for movement thereof along the body, a discharge is created in the crossed electric and magnetic fields, and the surfaces of the elements inside the body are cleaned, the mixture is pumped and an oxidiser gas is supplied, oxidation of the surfaces is executed at a temperature t=(+475±5)°C for 1≤τ≤24 hours.

EFFECT: increase in the operating life of the meter.
