FIELD: quantum electronics. SUBSTANCE: long service life is achieved due to improvement of efficiency of regeneration of CO2 in the whole volume of discharge channel and in surrounding. Laser has discharge channel formed by electrodes and ceramic plates. Stabilizers of gas content are made in form of hollow cylinders and mounted onto surface of electrode being external relating to discharge channel. Distance l1 between two nearest stabilizers and distance l2 between any stabilizer and the discharge channel is chosen from the relation l1≅ k/p≥ l2, where K is proportionality coefficient being equal 5·102 mm Hg x mm, p is active medium pressure, mm Hg.
