FIELD: equipment for purifying of air basins in the city, for protecting of transport and industrial objects from smog by air convection.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus has set of thermal siphons positioned one above another so as to define vertical air heater. Thermal siphons are secured on rigid tower having height corresponding to that of inversion layer. Thermal siphons are heated by means of electric heaters connected to ground power source. In order to increase heated surface area and enable connection of two siphons, tubular thermal siphon rib-type radiators are used. Lengthwise of vertical axis of tower there is a set of temperature sensors and air mass displacement sensors which deliver data on temperature distribution in vertical plane, speed and direction of wind and convection flow.
EFFECT: wider operational capabilities and increased efficiency in purification of air by discharging of particles tending to contaminate atmosphere from near-ground zone into upper layers of atmosphere through its inversion layer.
