FIELD: medicine, in particular, investigation of bone regenerate on digitized images of X-ray patterns using hardware-and-software complex "Diamorph".

SUBSTANCE: method involves determining intensity of each pixel of regenerate shadow; additionally measuring average intensity of shadows of soft tissues and image background of X-ray pattern at the level of bone regenerate; using resulted values for calculation of pixel optical pitch; analyzing resulted set of variate values of pixel optical pitch in regenerate using descriptive statistics method and methods for examination of statistic hypotheses; ranging set of variate values in ascending order; dividing optical pitch range of from 0 to 1.1 conventional units into 22 steps equal in interval and having pitch of 0.05 conventional unit; determining shape of pixels having optical pitch corresponding to each interval of regenerate area; plotting optical pitch distribution histogram corresponding to distribution of structures with different mineralization extent in bone regenerate.

EFFECT: wider range of interpretation of X-ray analysis of bone regenerate.
