FIELD: railway transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to checking and maintaining serviceability of locomotive drivers and drivers of other railway vehicles. According to invention, route of train is divided into four groups of sections. Related to first, second, third and fourth groups are section on which driver's busy factor equal to time taken by driver to execute operations divided onto designed time of train movement along said section is within 0.75 and 1, 0.5 and 0.75, 0.25 and 0.5 and 0 and 0.25, respectively. In process of movement of locomotive, operations executed by driver to control locomotive as wells as answers to inquiries, intellectual prompts and execution of commands are checked, and intracabin space and working place of driver are checked for presence of driver on its working place and position of driver in cabin and on seat and position of his head, state of eyes and direction of glance are checked. If driver is not on seat or is standing, position of head deflects from normal, eyes are closed and do not blink, pupils do not change their position and size, sound stimulus is formed as question (command) which requires active realized action in response. Recorded as reaction is speech message of driver in response to question (command) and/or fact of execution of command. Content of question (command) and speech message and/or execution are compared and driver's reaction coefficient is calculated as ratio of time required for carrying out one or other operation or answering the question to time required for carrying out operation or answering the question. If no response from driver is detected or reaction coefficient is inadmissible, decision is made to change for safe driving or braking of locomotive and sound, noise and/or light signals and/or tactile and/or gas means are used to act onto driver.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of checking and maintaining functional condition of driver.
