FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to brakes of crank presses designed for absorbing energy of moving members of press operating mechanism and driven clutch member. Proposed brake has brake unit, closing springs, rotating disk coupled with rotor of electric motor and release device. Rotor of electric motor is installed in housing. Reduction unit with pressing pneumatic cylinder is hinge-mounted on brake housing. Friction roller periodically engaging with rotating disk is installed on input shaft of reduction unit. Generator installed on output shaft of reduction unit is connected with motor through converter. Motor is installed on input shaft of reduction unit, and friction roller engaging with flywheel is installed on output shaft. Reduction unit with pressing pneumatic cylinder is hinge-mounted on press housing.
EFFECT: provision of regenerative braking with possibility of recovery of braking energy and returning of said energy in form of kinetic energy of flywheel.
