FIELD: measuring technique.

SUBSTANCE: electronic theodolite comprises control desk and lens of the observation channel mounted on the bearing-rotating device whose mechanisms for horizontal and vertical sighting have horizontal and vertical disks, respectively. The disks have code tracks and are optically connected with the units for reading from the horizontal and vertical disks whose outputs are connected with the first and second inputs of the converter of angle code whose output is connected with the input of the digital indicator. The electronic theodolite additionally has synchronization unit, video control unit, video control adapter secured to the bearing-rotating device and optically connected with the lens of the observation channel, and photodetector of the observation channel made of a matrix of photodetectors whose outputs are connected with the input bus of the device for reading information. The first and second outputs of the remote control desk are connected with the control inputs of the mechanisms of horizontal and vertical sighting, respectively, and the third and fourth outputs are connected with the control inputs of the unit for reading from the horizontal disk and unit for reading from the vertical disk, respectively. The output of the synchronization unit us connected with the synchronizing inputs of the video control adapter and device for reading information. The outputs of the device for reading information are connected with the input bus of the video control adapter whose output is connected to the input of the video control device.
