FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: new structural components are added to the existing electronic theodolite: a timer, a recorder, a fibre-optic data channel, a unit for generating control signals, etc. Said new structural components considerably increase accuracy of calculating angular coordinates owing to joint processing of data from units for reading from horizontal and vertical discs and data from devices for reading information from the array of photodetectors.

EFFECT: highly accurate calculation of angular coordinates in real time at high speed of movement of the target.
