FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves determining anterior iris surface adjacency to posterior cornea surface using ultrasonic biomicroscopy and optimum laser treatment zone localization. To do it, iris thickness is measured 1.5-2 mm far from intersection point of posterior cornea surface and anterior iris surface towards the center along the perpendicular from this point. Iris thickness being equal to 0.33-0.45 mm in localization zone, laser radiation treatment is started with Nd:YAG laser having wavelength of 1064 nm, in 2-3 pulses with pulse power of 1.1-1.7 mJ and action duration of 15 ns. Recess is made in this point being 1/3-1/2 times as deep as iris thickness. The second stage involves treating with YAG laser with doubled frequency in the same point to prevent hemorrhagic complications with wavelength 532 nm, power 500-600 mW, action duration 1.5-1.7 s, focal spot diameter 50 mcm and the number of pulses equal to 3-5. Then, through hole in iris is produced by acting with Nd:YAG laser having power of 1.1-1.7 mJ, action duration of 15 ns, with 5-7 pulses.
EFFECT: reduced risk of operative and postoperative complications.
